ESC 2012: Expectation before the 3 big nights

Hi,

tomorrow the first of the three ESC 2012 shows will start and, therefore, I can’t wait for the excitement to begin. 42 countries participate this year – 6 of them are finalists (Big 5: United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain and Germany and also the host country, Azerbaijan), the other 36 countries will have to compete for the other 20 spots in the final (10 from each semi-final)

Big favourite to win this year according to various polls and betting odds is Sweden, with Italy coming close. Since it’s my top-2 of this year’s ESC, I wouldn’t mind to see one of them winning it altogether

Buf for now, my qualifier predicitions for both semis – in the order of appearance, not in the order I’d think they’ll finish in the results:

1ST SEMI-FINAL

Iceland
Greece
Albania (wild guess. They can be replaced by some others. though)
Romania
Finland (wild guess. They can be replaced by some others. though)
Cyprus (wild guess. They can be replaced by some others. though)
Denmark
Russia
Moldova
Ireland (wild guess. They can be replaced by some others. though)

2ND SEMI-FINAL

Serbia
Ukraine
Slovenia (wild guess. They can be replaced by some others. though)
Croatia (wild guess. They can be replaced by some others. though)
Sweden
Turkey
Estonia (wild guess. They can be replaced by some others. though)
Norway
Bosnia & Herzegovina
Lithuania (wild guess. They can be replaced by some others. though)

Although they’re not on my predictions, I hope Israel and Portugal (and some others too) qualify the most, although it will be quite difficult for them, especially for the latter in what’s considered this year as the “semi of death”: the 2nd semi. I just hope a miracle happens…

That said, I hope to have a great time and may come suprises, non-suprises, shocks, non-shock, great moments, etc…

Thank you,
