1001 Before You Die collection (2003-2XXX)

one of the must curious book collections I’ve ever read is the Quintessence Editions Ltd.‘s “1001 (…) Before You Die” book collection. So critically detailed by nature, with either obvious or suprising choices and a joy to read them

Here’s the five of the varied list of books I have from this collection:

The first one I have is the 2nd version of it, same for the second and fifth ones. The third and fourth ones are the first edition as they were recently released (the latter being only released last year). That also goes for the sixth and seventh ones. All in all, a guilty pleasure that can be read over and over again, eventhough you can’t do them all before you die – a great deal of cultural knowledge, in my opinion

I hope to find out the 1001 Video Games You Must Play Before You Die book very soon and I hope they’ll do a book about television (something that hasn’t been done yet. Maybe either a book about TV-series and about animated series are viable and should be created: there’s a lot to think about, even if majority of the series aren’t on reruns any longer) and (altough it’s only on my dreams) about the Eurovision Song Contest

P.S: Update on the post as I bought the 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die on 29th December 2012. A good book, indeed, with some good literary references. And I’m about to recieve the 1001 Children’s Books You Must Read Before You Grow Up next week, if everything goes well…

P.S. 2: Update on the post as I bought the 1001 Days That Shaped the World on 21st March 2015

P.S. 3: At last, there’ll be a TV specialized book later this year called 1001 TV Shows You Must Watch Before You Die. I hope I also can find it pretty soon after it gets a release in here
